WelcomeDear Student and Parent,
To be successful this year, students will need to come to class each and every day on time and prepared. Students will also need to take notes on the lesson taught and practice by doing assigned homework. There is homework in this class almost every night. I encourage all students to ask questions during class and/or come in outside class for additional help. Please read over the policies and expectations for this class. Grading PolicyDetermination of student’s semester grade will be based on performance in the categories of class work, homework, quizzes, and tests. Grades can be accessed on our class website.
Login: Student’s first and last name. For example: Karen Williams Password: Student’s 7-digit ID Course Work: Grades will be based on Classwork/Homework, Quizzes, and Tests Grading Scale
Make-Up PolicyLate work will be accepted and quiz/test make-up allowed only when student has an excused absence. Students have one day to make up their work per day of excused absence. Students have two days to schedule a make-up test or quiz upon their return to class (you are responsible for scheduling this). The final can only be made up if parent/teacher contact has been made one week prior to the final.
HomeworkIt will be assigned daily. Students must attempt to solve all problems, and show work neatly in PENCIL in order to receive full credit.
NO LATE WORK IS ACCEPTED! Academic IntegrityStudents involved in cheating on assignments, quizzes, or tests will receive a zero grade along with having his or her parents contacted as soon as possible, and referred to assigned Administrator.
