Parent SupportParents are the key to making math learning a positive experience for their children. Therefore, I ask that parents make homework a top priority at home, provide necessary supplies and a quiet homework environment, set aside a time every day when homework should be done, provide praise and support, not allow children to avoid doing their homework, and contact me if you notice a problem.
Helping children become responsible is the parent’s assignment but this does not mean being responsible for the children’s assignments. Please read and discuss the class syllabus with your child. We can do this – together! If you have any question please feel free to contact me through Dojo, or email me at [email protected]. We can talk during my open period, after school or in the evening. How Parents can helpParents can help by:
- Provide students a quiet place and time for homework/study - Ask students to see their homework and what they are doing in class - Limit television, cell phone and video game time - Contact me to clarify assignments, grades, or class information |
